Aprašymas
Using the example of three selected feature films from German, Polish and Polish-German production - Our Mothers, Our Fathers (2013), Warsaw 44 (2014) and Our Last Summer (2015) - the author analyzes the memory in modern feature films in the area of tension between transnationalization and renationalization in Poland and Germany today. The films examined are united by the motif of normal young people growing up in World War II, which provides a breeding ground for breaking with established narrative styles and reinterpreting established perpetrator-victim dichotomies. With a changing focus on the contexts of production, narration and reception of the three feature films, the focus is on the role young filmmakers of a generation of postmemory play, how the films tell about the past and how these broadly and transnationally received remembrance films are used in debates on how to deal with them of history in Germany and Poland.
