In addition to questions closely related to literary production, writing as a medium of reflection is also gaining importance in other constellations. In self-testimonies, autobiographies, diaries and letters, writers provide insight into everyday occurrences and experiences, sensations and thoughts, and make writing the object of documentation, epistemic exploration, (self-)reflection and also psychological relief.
