1. General provisions

These Terms and Conditions of Sale and Purchase ("Terms and Conditions") are a legally binding document setting out the rights, obligations and liabilities of the buyer ("You") and the seller ("We") in connection with the purchase of goods for You in the online shop ("Online Shop").

2. Conclusion of the contract of sale and purchase

The contract between You and Us shall be deemed to be concluded when You create a shopping basket in the E-Shop, agree to the Terms and Conditions and click on the "Continue" button. Each contract concluded between You and Us shall be registered and stored in Our e-shop database.

3. Protection of personal data

Your data is protected in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. The data provided by the user when registering or completing an order will not be used for direct marketing purposes.

3.1 We do not transfer your personal data, including your residential address and email address, to third parties in any way, except to our partners who provide the services necessary to fulfil your order. However, even in such cases, only the necessary data is provided to them.

3.2 Payment for goods purchased in our online shop is made through the Paysera and Paypal systems. Your transfer will be secure - this is ensured by the systems of Paysera and the bank you use.

3.3 The personal data you provide when making a purchase or registering is stored for a maximum of 3 years after the last action (order or login). 4.4 By using the Online Shop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Sale and Purchase, the Online Shop's delivery conditions and prices, the return policy, and you must comply with these Terms and Conditions of Sale and Purchase and not violate the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

4.5 If the Customer attempts to interfere with the operation or stable functioning of the e-shop, We shall have the right to restrict, suspend or, in exceptional cases, cancel the Customer's registration without prior notice. We may, in important circumstances, temporarily or permanently suspend the operation of the e-shop without prior notice to You. On our own initiative, we may unilaterally modify these Terms and Conditions or the terms and conditions of operation of the e-shop, in part or in full.

4.6 We undertake to enable you to use the e-shop on the terms and conditions set out in these Terms and Conditions, to deliver the ordered goods to the address you have indicated within the time limit specified in the delivery terms and conditions, and to respect your right to privacy with respect to the personal information you provide on the e-shop registration form.

5. Liability

5.1 You are entirely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided in the registration form. If You do not provide accurate data in the registration form, We shall not be liable for any consequences arising from this.

It is forbidden to publish on our e-shop information that is defamatory, insulting to human beings, derogatory to their honour and dignity, or that incites national, racial, religious, social or gender hatred. As well as the distribution, promotion or advertising of pornography and other material contrary to the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Persons (visitors) who disseminate such information in the e-shop shall be liable in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

5.3 You are responsible for the transmission of the identification code to third parties. If third parties use your identification code, you are responsible for the actions performed by the third party.

5.4 We are not responsible for the information provided on the websites of other companies, even if you access these websites via links on our e-shop.

5.5 We are not responsible for the content of comments made by visitors to our website.

7. Returning goods

In accordance with the amendment of the Government Decree No. 697 "On the Approval of the Rules of Retail Trade" of 22 July 2014, No. 738, quality goods purchased remotely (via the internet, telephone) may be returned within 14 days in accordance with the procedure set out in Articles 6.22810 and 6.22811 of the Civil Code.

If you wish to return the product(s) purchased at the humanitas.lt e-bookstore within 14 days, please contact pagalba@humanitas.lt or telephone 8 (5) 266 16 82.

We guarantee a full refund of all monies paid, including delivery costs. By returning the goods, you only pay the direct costs of returning the goods.

Refunds will be issued within 10 working days after the return of the goods.

No refunds will be given for goods that have been damaged intentionally or negligently, or that have been used improperly or not for the intended purpose.

Also, if you notice that the publications are of poor quality upon receipt of your order, please notify us immediately by email at pagalba@humanitas.lt or by phone at 8 (5) 2 661 682. At your request, we will replace the faulty product with a quality product at our expense or refund the money you have paid for the product.

8. Electronic Consumer Dispute Resolution Platform

Disagreements arising out of the performance of these Terms and Conditions shall be settled by negotiation. In the event of failure to reach an agreement within 20 (twenty) calendar days, disputes shall be settled in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania. 9. Terms of delivery

In the Humanitas.lt e-bookstore, the buyer chooses and specifies the method of delivery and the delivery address at the time of order. The following delivery methods are available:

Lithuania:

Delivery in Lithuania** is carried out using courier or self-service parcel terminal services (our partners are Omniva, a network of self-service parcel terminals, and the courier service DPD*)

Delivery to Omniva/DPD post offices - 2,49 €

Delivery by courier service - 3,49 €

Attention! For purchases at the humanitas.lt e-bookstore for less than €10, a service charge of €0.99 applies

Attention! If you buy in humanitas.lt e-bookstore for 30 € and more, we will deliver your order FREE of charge within Lithuania.

*Delivery on weekdays 8-18 hours. If you are unable to accept the parcel yourself at the time of delivery, please make sure that someone else can do it for you. We suggest that you choose home delivery, as you or a family member will not have to wait at home for the courier. Your order can be picked up at your workplace by any of your colleagues.

**We do not send to Curonian Spit by courier. For those who choose courier delivery and have marked their address in Curonian Spit, we will send your order using the services of Lithuania Post.

Abroad:

Delivery is made using the services of Lietuvos Pasts. The delivery price is EUR 9 for one book, each subsequent book will cost an additional EUR 5. If you would like to receive your book sooner and agree to pay for express delivery, please contact us to arrange delivery on weekdays 10:00-18:00 by phone at 8 (5) 2661 682 or by e-mail at pagalba@humanitas.lt.

The shipping cost is automatically included in the price and is presented to the buyer for payment together with the order.

Upon receipt of the buyer's payment, humanitas.lt undertakes to deliver the product in Lithuania within 1-4 working days, unless the product is out of stock. Delivery to the specified address abroad may take 1-3 weeks.

Attention! Due to COVID-19 related transport problems, delivery of books by post to European Union countries may be delayed up to 20 days, to other countries - up to 70 days!

In the e-bookstore, you can see on each item whether it is currently in stock:

Delivery time 1-3 working days (in this case we have the item in stock)

Warning! 3-6 weeks (in this case we do not have the item in stock, but we will order it from the publisher/supplier for the buyer)

We currently do not have the item in stock. If we are not out of print, we will order from the publisher and deliver to you within 5-10 working days (in this case we do not have the item in stock, but we will order it from the publisher/supplier for the purchaser)

For purchases that we do not currently have in stock, we undertake to deliver within 2-5 weeks of receipt of payment from the buyer.

The Buyer agrees that in exceptional circumstances the delivery of the goods may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of humanitas.lt. In such a case, we will contact the Buyer immediately to coordinate the delivery of the goods.

Humanitas.lt shall be exempt from liability for non-delivery of the goods if the Buyer has provided incorrect delivery details or has not been at the address provided at the time of order at the agreed time. In case of failure to deliver the goods to the Buyer on 3 occasions, the goods shall be returned to the Seller.

When accepting the order, please check the condition of the shipment and sign the invoice (bill of lading) or other document of transfer and acceptance of the shipment. If you have any observations or comments about the packaging or the quantity of the goods, please inform the courier representative at the time of delivery. If the Buyer notices that the packaging of the delivered consignment is damaged (wrinkled, wet or otherwise externally damaged), the Buyer must note this on the bill of lading or on the other document of acceptance. If the signature on the bill of lading is unremarked, the delivery of the consignment shall be deemed to be undamaged.

10. Final provisions

These Rules are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania.

Any disagreements arising from the implementation of these Rules shall be settled by negotiation.
